Today's Josh first day of kindergarten. He's really a big boy now. As all we have planned since the beginning of this March: he got accepted in this very best elementary school, passed the interview, smoothly got in the AM class, and luckily in the same classroom with two other friends.
Even for the first day of schoo, nothing much has changed. He was already fully booked through summer busy enrolled in different activity classes. So the only change in schedule is that he has to get up one hour earlier at 7 in the morning.
This morning the school was full with all parents and kids! The parking was unorganised that no volunteers help out at the drop off line. I parked the car on the near street and walked Josh to his classroom. The class was compact with lots of people. The parent need to show the kids around the classroom not the teacher! On the paper stated that parents can stay from 8-10 first day of school. However at 8:40, the teacher announced that we need to leave because too many people.
I return to school around 11:00, twenty minutes before the pick up time. Again lots of parents were already lined up outside the fence gate. I saw Josh was lined up from outside ready get inside his classroom. AT 11:20, teacher brought them out at the gate called out child's name for pick up.
