Guilin Rice Noodle

When I was in high school, this used to be my quick lunch choice. Back then, we called it 'BBQ pork mifen' in Liuzhou. Now these days, rice noodle dish from Guilin has replaced it. Now even in Liuzhou, we can only get the famous 'Guilin mifen'. It tasted really delicious. Everytime I went back to Liuzhou, I was so desper to eat it!

The most famous local snack in Guilin, mifen is pliable but strong, fragrant and mellow, and cheap. Guilin Rice Noodles are a favorite snack for local residents. Rice noodles, gravy, fried peanuts or soybeans, chopped scallions and thin slides of different kinds of meat are added for various versions of this renowned and tasty dish.
