Angry birds lunch container covers

Those cute angry birds lunch container covers are made from my mother. :) She's 73 years old, yet still young at heart! I am sure they will keep Josh's lunch warm in the coming winter!

Josh's Drawings!

Those are Josh's drawings. He was afraid of drawing before. Now after I pushed him into a drawing class every Saturday morning. He got motivated and started to draw pictures when he wants to. Here are some of the his drawings.

***********************
Bumblebee
Very unique drawing technique, he used chalks to draw on a piece of brown paper.
**************************

Mother and Son at the Swimming Pool
This drawing was purely based on his imagination. It was done even before we went to the swimming lesson. In his words, mother (me) was watching the son (Josh) swimming in the pool.
**********************
Flower dance in the Rain
***************************************
Train Crash Rescue
(The drawing was done after Josh watched the news of the collision between two Metro transit trains in Washington, D.C. on June 22, 2009.)
***********************

Expression of Debussy's Music
(Freelance drawing when Josh was listening to the Children's Corner Suite by Debussy! It is dedicated to Debussy's daughter, Claude-Emma, who was three years old at the time. )

Black Hole Tube

Letter J Applique
Josh joined the local community's clay class since March. Once a week from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. In this class, he learn how to roll the clay in shapes, how to cut with knife on a clay patch, also how to glaze the color onto the object. He had lots of fun making all those things. :)

The project of the day - race car builder

Kenny built the race car today for Joshua. It was very complicated. The quality is not so good as most of the parts are made from foams! However it does has pull back.

Monster truck project!

The project of the day is this blue monster truck!

Since yesterday Joshua found these parts, he wanted to build it. He waited since this morning. Finally in the afternoon, he said: "MaMa, I think two people can build it!" I asked: "Who are those two people?" He said: "MaMa and Joshua! We can build it! Not three people, dada is working, so we can do it!" He said it in a really funny way and I felt that I had to build it!

It's a blue monster truck, big foot?! I have bought Joshua whole lot of monster trucks when he was a baby, maybe around 2? Heh, now they all in the box, and Joshua wants to play with them again~ :)

Here we go, I have built it!

Mother Kangaroo and Joey!

Today before I pick up Joshua, he said: "Mama, I have something to show you..." He ran to his file folder and found one piece paper for me. It was the cutest craft I ever see! It was mommy kangaroo and Joey! Baby Kangaroo was flying a kite in Mommy's pocket! He said: " Oh I have made it for you! I even wrote it on the back!" When I flip it over, I saw his writing on the back. Very sweet!

Pine Cone

Joshua has made this beautiful pine cone from school. I just knew he has been working on it for days. He mentioned about 'pine cone' couple times last week. Finally on Friday he got to bring it home. He handed the pine cone in the little paper bowl to me, said :" this is for you, mama". I was so stunned that the pine cone looked really really pretty. With our favor color stained on the cone. So delicate even with some sparks. What a great gift for the coming fall season~

Autumn used and is still my favorite season. When I still lived in Canada 8 years ago, I used to go see the red maple leaves every year. I loved the beautiful changing color leaves. I loved the fresh dry cool air breezed in. I loved the clear blue sky with really pure white clouds high above. I really missed all the good friends and the good old times.
