Today is the Zong Zi Festival -端午节!Zong Zi is a glutinous rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo leaves to honor the poet named Qu Yuan in ancient China! He drowned himself two thousands years ago! People dropped lots of Zong Zi into the river to keep the fishes from attacking his body! Then it became a traditional thing to make Zong Zi every year!

I have made many white and red bean Zong Zi last week. It's a once a year event. Every year before this date, I made a lot of Zong Zi so I can give some to the relatives and also save some in the freezer for later.

Tonight, we have our lamb steak dinner with corn and sweet potatoes! The lamb steaks are prepared in my special brown sugar red wine sauce. Very yummy!
